EDTECH: COURSE EXPERIENCES

What are your overall thoughts on this course?

I think that EdTech is a very useful course that should be included in all teacher's training especially since, we as a society, are getting more engaged with technology and it has become an essential part of our daily lives.

What were some student tech products you found useful in your profession?

A tech product I found useful is Canva because it makes beautiful posters for basically everything. I have used Canva numerous times for work and with personal projects. Screen-O-Matic, I believe, is helpful when I want to show off my laptop screen and to just record myself without writing because I could just talk while showing what I'm working on. I enjoyed using Word Clouds and Make Belief Comix because it was fun and it's easily used.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of using student technology products/applications for your profession?

The disadvantage of using student technology products/applications for my profession is that I am still learning how to be familiar with technology and how to use computers/laptops. Some of these student techno products/applications need WIFI, and some websites (such as Powtoon) are difficult to use without a computer/laptop. The advantage is that you could easily access them and it would immediately show off in your search results. That's the beauty of the Internet! Overall, I think that these websites and products could be used ANYWHERE not just for work. I have learned many great things in this course, and I am thankful I decided to take them. :)
